Barge on lake Mälar

This year the artist spends most of his time in Sweden, summer as winter, and has at each occasion rendered the Nordic country in full. The strong colours in this lake scene (ref. nr. 535) remind us of the Färg och Form movement who had just begun (see above “The three Graces”, 1928).
