This dark but coloured landscape (reg. nr. 855) is certainly not cubist, it is a Kirchner-like German expressionism. In this oil canvas, we may perfectly grasp the artist’s intention to better express himself through a less conventional form, with a lot of movement and rhythm. Observe the donkey in the middle, it is to come back regularly, nearly as a Dick Beer trademark !
